Tai Chi Walking After Reverse Shoulder Replacement: A Safe Way to Rebuild Strength Post-Op
Tai Chi Walking After Reverse Shoulder Replacement: Rebuilding Strength Without Risk Ten weeks post-op from reverse shoulder replacement surgery, I’m at a point many people reach and feel unsure about. I must rebuild strength and stamina — but I cannot risk injury, strain, or setbacks. Before surgery, my regular routine included Pilates, hot yoga, and long walks with my dogs. After shoulder replacement, those options disappeared. Like many people recovering from shoulder surgery, I needed a form of movement that supported healing rather than challenged it. While I was doing physical therapy specifically for my shoulder, I was overdue for full-body movement. At the same time, I was also healing…

The Longest Night: Winter Solstice Reflections
As I look out the window of my cabin in the forest, days of torrential rains are shaking loose the last of the leaves clinging to the oak trees. I look up at those quivering leaves and remember when they were just verdant green new buds bursting into young vibrant leaves, holding the promise of summer. That memory is activated by the trees and their cycle of life. I have been watching this forest and her wild inhabitants for 20 years. From the new buds, to the brilliant green of young leaves darkening as spring turns to summer providing cool shade. Ever so slowly in late summer as the lighting…

🌺Archetype Activations: Magdalene • Sophia • Joan d’Arc💖
What is an Archetype Activation? Archetype Activations with Magdalene, Sophia, and Joan d’Arc are guided, participatory ritual sessions that awaken, and embody timeless qualities represented by powerful feminine figures. Think of the Activation as turning on a switch within your electromagnetic field — awakening courage, wisdom, unconditional love, and other aspects these Archetypes embody that have always been within you, waiting to be remembered. We are ACTIVATING what is already within you – dormant within your geometric blueprint. Allow one hour for your Activation session. Activation vs. Alignment In yoga and energy work, you often hear the word alignment. Activation is related, but goes far deeper. When we align, we…

The First Kill: Building Boundaries with Love and Pinwheels
A story about instinct, connection, and building a lizard habitat barrier with love and whimsy. This morning, as the golden light filtered gently through the trees, I crafted a whimsical yet heartfelt barrier. At first glance, it may seem playful — green mesh wrapped around old stumps, topped with a whirl of cheerful pinwheels. But beneath the colorful surface lives a much deeper story — one of instinct, connection, and the sacred act of protection. This lizard habitat barrier, though playful in appearance, was built with reverence, purpose and my sense of fun. These tree stumps have long been a favorite place of the lizards who dwell here — sunning,…

🕊️ The Circle of Wings: A Story of Spirit and Release
The Little White Dog, The Lizard & The Spirit of Earth & Sky The day began with a reading—a first offering, a first opening of the heart for Ave’s “officially announced” new path of Attuned Communications. Unbeknownst to Ave, the day after the Offer Page went live, was the day a little white dog with a fierce heart, crossed the veil~and she would be called to be a tender witness to the circle of life in nature. This pup’s grieving human guardian just happened to see this Ave’s offering from a post that happened to cross her screen the morning after the little dog’s transition. In the quiet glow of…

“Lady Giggleton Meets Danu Gigglesworth (And I’m Not Kidding!)” 👑
📬 It All Began With Certified Mail 📬 Some days whisper. Others hum—with the creek flowing over rocks, making watery music, with birdsong, with something more. 💫 Today was one of those humming days. ✨ It started with a simple plan: take a few minutes to ground myself in nature, film a video about sound healing for my Choose Attunement Over Anxiety series, and return home with the footage. But nature had its own production schedule. Down by the creek, I found not just footage—but art.The swirling textures of water over stone.A bee pollinating sun-yellow mandalas. 🐝 A chorus of loud birds echoing through the trees, as if placed by a divine…

Flight of the Fluff: Morning Rituals from the Poodle Kingdom
A Royal Routine of Morning Tea ☕ and Poodle Theatre 🐩🎭 The kingdom stirs at first light, not with trumpets or fanfare, but with the gentle clink of a teacup, the rustle of fresh linens, and the quiet breath of two toy poodles beginning their morning ritual beside their queen. Easton, the noble-hearted knight, stretches with a yawn that might as well be a bow. Juliette, the black-fluff empress, shakes her regal coat and sits poised at the edge of the bed, glancing at the tea in her mother’s hand. It is a signal—a sacred code. Tea means chicken feet. The morning play begins shortly after the ceremonial feast. They…

Face to Face With My Power Animal: A Meeting of Souls
The teenage girls from next door called me on the land line with their serious voice: “There’s a bear out by the trampoline.” I didn’t hesitate, that’s my cue to spring into action with grace and stealth silence. I grabbed my trusty iPhone — already set to video, zoomed in just a bit — ready to capture what I’ve been privileged to witness before. The bears visit here often. This land is as much theirs as it is mine, maybe more. But each time they appear, it’s never just a visit. It’s a message. A presence. A shift. This time, I saw only her hindquarters as she ran into the…

Two Daughters, Two Roads, One Fierce, Loving Heart in Each
This week, my daughter Milly received not one, but two degrees — both with honors — while raising three children, juggling baseball games, and running her own salon business — all while navigating the terrain of life constantly demanding more than it gave. She earned an Associate of Sciences in Social & Behavioral Sciences, and an Associate of Arts in Psychology for Transfer.I’m proud of her. Quietly, deeply, and completely. Not just for the degrees — but for the strength it took to keep showing up and completing difficult homework between baseball practices and long days at work. And speaking of strength… I want to honor my eldest daughter as well…
